Joint Formula Nutrients Reduce Pain Levels
In a recent study, 118 patients with mild to moderate osteoarthritis were treated with either 500 mg of glucosamine three times daily, 500 mg of MSM three times daily, a combination of both nutrients, or placebo.
After three months, participants treated with glucosamine alone showed an average pain reduction of 63 percent, while those treated with MSM alone showed an average pain reduction of 52 percent.
Participants treated with a combination of glucosamine and MSM showed an average pain reduction of 79 percent.
Research indicates the combination treatment also had a faster effect on pain and inflammation compared to glucosamine alone.The researchers concluded that the combination of MSM and glucosamine provided better and more rapid improvement in patients with osteoarthritis.
